This has been the longest week ever and honestly I am already dreading the weekend. The hubs will be working all weekend so that means I will be chauffeuring both kids to soccer, baseball practice and a birthday party alone (insert sad face here).
I haven’t been feeling really well this week and the kids have been whiney and not sleeping well which means I don’t sleep well. So, this post may be a little random and for that I apologize. I have so much on my mind and so many things on my to do list that I am just feeling very overwhelmed at the moment. And knowing the holidays are right around the corner isn’t helping!
I did have a few moments of fun this week that I will highlight!
Over the weekend I went to see the Motherhood Musical with my friends Vicky and Shannon. It was hilarious and right on target with the joys and triumphs of motherhood. If you have a chance to catch it before it ends, I highly recommend it! Perfect for girl’s night out!
After the show we had dinner and dessert at a place in downtown Plano called Urban Crust where we had one of their yummy wood –fired pizzas and then shared a delicious piece of Chocolate cake a la ’mode.
I had a glass of the Cakebread Cellars Cabernet and it was delish. I will definitely be purchasing a bottle on my next trip to World Market.
Thanks to my very sweet husband, I had a fabulous spa treatment at the Crescent Hotel Spa in Dallas on Monday.
And yesterday I had lunch at my favorite Sushi restaurant in McKinney called Wasabi with my sweet friend Jennifer and her adorable 2 month old daughter Vivian.
Now on to my current obsessions.
I have been pinning away on Pinterest this week and I have added several things to my ever-growing wish list.
Here’s what made my obsessions list this week!
I really love the look and functionality of a bar cart. I would love to add one to my formal dining room.
Need to order a new address stamp before Christmas and I love this one from Etsy.
I am on the hunt for the perfect antique toast rack for holding mail, letters, etc. I think this would look great on an entry way table.
My hair is finally long enough that I can wear it in a messy bun or braid. I really want to try the fishtail braid. I found this great tutorial on LC’s beauty dept blog.
I would really like to add a cape coat to my wardrobe this fall. I love the color of this one but with a $750 price tag, it will have to go on sale if it wants to find a nice home in my coat closet. Sigh. I still love it with the striped sweater and skinny jeans. Such a great look!
Okay, time to log off the computer and start cleaning up from this morning. School pick up will be here before I know it and then it’s an evening of chaos that includes soccer practice, dinner, homework and getting everything ready for tomorrow. I am taking Meredith for her first trip to the Big Orange Pumpkin Patch!
