October Obsessions

I can’t believe it’s already October. I say that every time a new month starts but time has just been flying by. I am really looking forward to the cooler temperatures and the start of the holiday season which is my favorite time of year.

Here are the things I’m looking forward to now that Fall is in the air.

Halloween Candy

I made this mixture on Friday and by Saturday afternoon it was all gone between myself and the kids. It’s just peanuts and candy corn mixed together. It tastes just like a Pay Day candy bar. So yummy and perfect for Friday movie night at our house!

Fall Soups

I love soups in the fall when the temps are cooler outside. I just found this recipe and I can’t wait to try it out one night this week! Looks easy and very tasty! I think even the kids will like it.

Halloween Decorations

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays because I love the decorations. We have an annual Halloween party for the kids so Jonah and Meredith really enjoying helping pick out new things to add to our growing collection.

Red Wine

When the temperatures get cooler I like to switch to red wine. I recently picked up this Cabernet at Market Street and it was really good. It retails for about $20 a bottle.

Holiday Baking

There is nothing better in the fall than the smell of pumpkin and cinnamon in the house. I cannot wait to try these Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffins this weekend.

When I am not baking I keep the scent going strong with my Scentsy warmers. I have one in the kitchen, the entry hall, and the bathroom. The fall scents are my favorite – Pumpkin Roll, Autumn Sunset, Honey Pear Cider, Black Raspberry Vanilla and Autumn Stroll.
