Pop of Color: Orange

Orange is a great year round color. In fall, burnt orange (Hook ‘em Horns!) is one of my favorite shades and in spring and summer I love pops of bright orange. It’s such a happy color! To celebrate my love of the color orange here are my current favorite finds and some simple ways to incorporate this fun color into your wardrobe and your home.

Wardrobe:

1. Love the skirt, the boots, the whole outfit via.                                                                               2. Blair from my new “must read daily” fashion blog– Atlantic Pacific. Color blocking with an orange blazer. I love this preppy look. And I am drooling over those shoes. They are definitely on my fall must have list! (I will be posting my fall must have list later this week!)

3. Love the fit of this dress via                                                                                                           4. You can never go wrong with a Hermes Scarf or for that matter Hermes anything!

5. For the office via                                                                                                                           6. I love, love, love this coat from Burberry. These coats are investment pieces so if I was going to spend this kind of money on a Burberry coat I would probably opt with a more neutral color which isn’t as much fun but a wiser choice. Sigh. Sometimes I dislike my practical self!

Accessories:

7. I love their rain boots! Weather resistant orange tote from Hunter.                                               8. Love DVF and I love this clutch!

9. I love all things Tory Burch so of course these shoes had to make the list.                                 10. These cute Kate Spade bangles would add a pop of color to any outfit especially when stacked together. 

For the Kids:

11. Just received this Cherry Stix sweater dress and cute arm warmers yesterday for Meredith from Zulily. Can’t wait for her to wear it when it’s cooler outside! It looks really bright orange in this picture but it’s more of a pumpkin color. Perfect for fall!                                                                  12. Patagonia Boys waterproof jacket. I have been looking for a rain coat for Jonah and I like this one. 

For the Men:

13. Vineyard Vines Checked button up shirt. One of my favorite looks on a guy is when they wear a button down shirt with the sleeves rolled up!                                                                                14. These Pumas would look good with jeans. I wonder if Josh would wear these?? Hmmm??

For the Home:

15. This Wing Back chair is fabulous!                                                                                             16. Rustic orange nail trim headboard in a Hermes inspired bedroom! Yes, please!

17. Love the orange chevron print on this closet island. Can you guess who this fabulous closet belongs to? Answer provided in the link.                                                                                           18. Love all the pops of orange in this Jonathan Adler designed girl’s room. And look at those mirrors! Adorable!

19. Love the rug in this home office.                                                                                                 20. For a subtle hint of color check out the bedding in this boys room.

21. I love my Le Creuset pots. Now I kind of wish I had gone with Orange instead of Red. Great pop of color in an all white kitchen though it’s too cluttered for me. On a side note, this kitchen must be in a European home and not in a Texas home where everyone has industrial sized stainless steel refrigerators in their kitchens!!                                                                                   22. Great use of color in this study on the pillows, books and even the flowers. And I really like the way they carried the color into the living room.
