Bejeweled and Be Happy

I love jewelry. Just ask my husband. I am always trying to talk him into buying a new piece to add to my collection. Jewelry can definitely make an outfit come together. A great statement necklace can add a pop of color to a solid color button up shirt. A pendant necklace can dress up a long tunic with leggings or skinny jeans. A bold ring can dress up a LBD (Little Black Dress) and a great pair of chandelier earrings can make a strapless dress really stand out in the crowd.

Below are some recent purchases and some that are on my wish list. Enjoy!

I recently purchased this gold ring by Marcia Moran at the Bella Boutique at the Spa and Resort at Barton Creek in Austin. It goes with everything and will be a great piece to transition between the seasons. My best friend Vicky bought a larger black oval one that is also very cute!

I bought this pair of Kendra Scott Danielle earrings for summer. I was able to wear them with so many outfits since Turquoise was one of this year’s top summer colors. I love her designs as do many celebrities and I already have my eye on a few new pieces for fall. 

Etsy is a great place to find unique handmade jewelry. I bought this pair of earrings earlier in the summer to wear with sun dresses but the color will easily transition into fall.

One of my favorite jewelry boutiques in McKinney, Nan Lee Jewelry, sells jewelry by local Texas designer Deanna Cochran. Her pieces are one of a kind and unique.  I usually lean towards a more classic look but I did find an initial necklace that’s a great everyday necklace to wear with tank tops and will carry me over into fall with v-neck sweaters. I just bought the one large silver initial charm on a different chain. Deanna’s story on how started designing jewelry is very touching.  Proceeds from the collections benefit several non-profit organizations and many are a dedicated to special people in her life.

Here are the pieces I would like to add for Fall. I am trying to incorporate more gold into my wardrobe.

I love the three initial pendent from Jennifer Zeuner. I plan on doing JSM since we all share initials. I also really like the cross necklace.

I love this set of bangles by Ashley Pittman. They are very cute and would look great with a cardigan, skinny jeans and riding boots!

Vanessa Mooney bracelets. Pair several together for a chic bohemian look. These are two of my favorites.

         

House of Harlow Evil Eye Pendant. To ward off those evil sprits!

Contemporary jewelry seems to be a trend for this fall. I am liking this Medallion ring by Nissa Jewelry.
